Black Forest Soaring Society

BFSS Hangar and Private Trailer Policy

The Club owns three hangars. Space is available for storing glider trailers and assembled airplanes belonging to either the Club or its members; priority goes to aircraft owned by the Club. Members may rent two parking spaces only until another member requests their first space. The Board of Directors (BOD) maintains authority over allocation of hangar and trailer spaces.

Glider trailers and Assembled gliders inside hangars

Trailers and assembled gliders may be stored inside hangars on a month-to-month basis. Fees are paid one month in advance; this gives the BOD notification of intent to vacate, and allows the BOD to keep the membership informed about space availability. Contact the BOD Secretary if you wish to park your trailer or assembled glider inside a hangar.

The BOD has the authority to reposition these trailers and assembled gliders when necessary. See Fee Schedule for monthly fee. Deciding not to pay for the month in advance is considered notification of intent to vacate.

Outside trailer parking

There are two approved locations for outside storage of glider trailers: the front line south of hangar two, and the back line south of hangar three. Fees for parking on the front line are paid one month in advance; this gives the BOD notification of intent to vacate, and allows the BOD to keep the membership informed about space availability. Contact the BOD Secretary if you wish to park your glider trailer outside.

The BOD has the authority to reposition these trailers when necessary. Space on the back line is available at no charge for club members. See Fee Schedule for monthly fee. Deciding not to pay for the month in advance is considered notification of intent to vacate the front line.

Assembled glider overnight in a hangar

Contact a BOD member if you wish to park your assembled glider in the hangar for the night. See Fee Schedule for overnight charge.
