Black Forest Soaring Society

There's an official weather station located at Kelly Airpark, with the name Elbert Mountain or Monument Hill, though there aren't even any hills to speak of within a few miles of here.

A couple of happy guests.

Fly like an eagle in the Colorado sky!

Enjoy the thrill of motorless flight with us at Kelly Airpark , located conveniently between Colorado Springs and Denver (map).

You will be towed aloft in a two place glider behind a Piper Pawnee towplane.

Once at several thousand feet above the ground, your pilot will release the glider from the towplane and the quiet grace of soaring will embrace you.

Enjoy the majestic view of the Colorado Front Range, from Pikes Peak on the south, to Longs Peak on the north. See Colorado Springs, the US Air Force Academy, Denver, Boulder, and beyond. One family visiting us made a great video slide show of their experience.
